Harvey accommodation, Harvey activities and attractions, Harvey maps, transportation to and around Harvey - the Jasons Harvey Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Harvey.

In the heart of dairy country, a one and a half hour drive south west of Perth, the small town of Harvey is surrounded by green pastures. The town lies on fertile, irrigated plains beneath the rolling foothills of the Darling Range, and in spring the area comes alive with colour as wildflowers cover the ground. Harvey has a fine reputation for its high quality orange juice, beef and more recently, its wine. Citrus orchards and viticulture flourish around the town, and Harvey’s intensive dairy farming provides the bulk of Western Australia’s milk supply.

Visitors can explore the region's stunning Jarrah forest, and stop at the scenic Harvey Dam for a barbecue or bushwalk. The dam has an amphitheatre, boardwalk, walking trails and a boat launch area. Nearby is the Bibbulmun Track, a world class 1000km trail. Harvey was home to renowned children’s author May Gibbs, creator of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, and the town features a replica of the 1880s home where she lived, called Stirlings Cottage.
