General Information
Kangaroo Island Seaview Motel and Guesthouse is found in Kingscote, the island's main commercial town. The town is very centrally located and day tripping out to various corners of the island is quite accessible from here. Most locals travel into Kingscote regularly for shopping, banking, post office and entertainment. Kingscote is 45 minutes from Penneshaw, 30 minutes from Parndana, 1 hour to Flinders Chase.
With about 500 km of coastline, consisting of wide, sandy beaches, secluded coves, rugged, rocky shores and steep headlands, there is plenty of exploring to do during your stay. The island is noted for it's flora and fauna with sea lions, fur seals, penguins, pelicans, gulls, cormorants, parrots, kangaroos, wallabies, possums, emus, koalas, echidnas and goannas all likely to be spotted in the wild or in one of the island's many conservation parks. The native coastal vegetation is not only hardy but surprisingly attractive when in bloom and a bushwalker's delight.
Seaview Motel offers guests a variety of room choices. Motel Units are either Garden or Ocean View with two Suites also available. Each of the Garden and Ocean rooms feature: queen size and single bed, kitchen sink, bar fridge, remote colour T.V, direct dial phone, personal computer outlet, toaster, kettle, tea and coffee provisions, iron and ironing board, ensuite with shower, toilet, hairdryer, and vanity sink with large mirrors. All beds have electric blankets and rooms are heated and cooled with individually controlled reverse cycle airconditioning units.
The 4 Guest House rooms are situated in the original 1927 stone guest house. Bedrooms here can have up to a queen with single bed or bunk bed, bar fridge, remote colour T.V, toaster, kettle and tea and coffee provisions. All bed and bathroom linen is supplied and your room is serviced every day too! While each bedroom has it's own private hand basin, large mirror and vanity area in the room, there is no ensuite. Bathrooms are shared facilities.
Kangaroo Island is a destination for all seasons. The busiest tourist months are from September to April.....however Kangaroo Island Seaview Motel is the perfect place to stay year round.
