The Hawker Visitor Information Centre is located within Hawker Motors, which is in the centre Hawker. The accredited Hawker Visitor Information Centre provides information, maps and literature on the Flinders Ranges and Outback as well as basic information for other areas in South Australia. A comprehensive range of souvenirs, books on Australiana and maps are available along with a wide selection of brochures. Light snacks and refreshments, internet access, email, facsimile and photocopying are available. Hawker Visitor Information Centre includes Fred Teague's museum, which contains memorabilia, mineral specimens and bottles. The local Seismograph Station for the Hawker region is situated near the information section and is maintained for the South Australian Government's Department of Primary Industries.
