  • Port Lincoln
    Boston Bay is one of the world’s largest natural harbours and provides the setting for this famous fishing port, home to Australia’s largest tuna fleet. The Port Lincoln area has some notable historic sites including Milkkira Station (est. 1842) and Koppio Smithy Museum.
  • Coffin Bay National Park
    An unspoiled area of coastal wilderness with exposed cliffs, sheltered sandy beaches, rich birdlife and fantastic fishing.
  • Lincoln National Park
    A haven for birdwatchers, this national park 20km south of Port Lincoln also has dramatic coastal scenery, sandy beaches and sheltered coves to explore.
  • Whyalla
    South Australia’s largest provincial city famous for its shipyard (now closed), Whyalla has fine beaches and good fishing and the Whyalla Maritime Museum.
  • The Nullabor Plain
    The seaside town of Ceduna is the eastern gateway to this iconic piece of desert that stretches over 300km to the border and beyond into Western Australia. It is traversed by the Indian Pacific railway and the Eyre Highway. The world’s longest cave system runs beneath the plain and the border area has many underground caves and caverns.
